1:53 PM So...what do you think of FFXII getting a perfect score in Famitsu?
It's really no surprise
1:54 PM is it close to being worthy of a perfect score?
1:55 PM me: well
the first ten hours or so have been . . .
1:56 PM i guess, so far it's the best game square has ever made
to a point where it's almost GOD damned embarrassing
they should be ASHAMED of everything else theyve ever made
after putting this game out
Doug: wow
me: it could BURY them
it's just . . . on such a level
Doug: I didn't want to get my hopes up
though wow
me: where it makes other games look sick and retarded
1:57 PM like, the story, i mean
if you thought VI had a good story
this is fucking literature
to put it lightly
Doug: I was expecting such
I told Julie a year ago that Final Fantasy XII is going to be my favorite game ever
1:58 PM I've just always kind of...known
me: the demo is kind of a joke
the actual game is quite great
and it's HARD!!!!
ive died like FORTY TIMES!!
Doug: yes!
that's what I want to hear!
me: the enemies just kind of beat the fuck out of you
it's kind of scary
1:59 PM one of the famitsu reviewers said -- about the story
that the voice-actors "dont even sound like videogame or anime voice-actors! they sound like real actors!"
this is because they have MATERIAL!!
it's amazing, on a level
it's definitely as competently put together -- less plot-wise, more editing-wise
as a metal gear solid game
2:00 PM well, a little more
it has so much VISION
it has BALLS
and it's a RISK for square because people dont WANT balls
they want DRECK
it's what they expect
Doug: its depressingly true
2:01 PM me: well, i hope this changes something
squeenix wants to sell 3 million in a month
Doug: I'm expecting the game to get the worst reception of any ff ever when it hits the US
me: if they dont do that, then it doesnt beat FFX
and it proves to them that "people like FFX more"
2:02 PM which is AMAZING!
because it's not about how much the game SELLS right away
it's about how good the game actually IS . . . right?
well, not to them
Doug: not to a company
me: most of the people who buy it will not beat it in a MONTH, much less the day they buy it
yeah
2:03 PM Doug: It's a shame about Matsuno, too. I wonder if he's done with videogames for good?
2:04 PM That would make this his opus, then?
me: i dont know!
nobody knows
well, it all depends on how it . . . pans out
god i HATE the way the hero looks though
he looks DUMB AS HELL
Ouch. J'espère qu'il y a erreur.1UP a écrit :[Square Enix president Yoichi Wada] also mentioned that the US version is currently in the process of being localized, and should see release sometime around Thanksgiving in the States.
